Ah  vastness of pines

 

Ah vastness of pines, murmur of waves breaking,

slow play of lights, solitary bell,

twilight falling in your eyes, toy doll,

earth-shell, in whom the earth sings!

 아 !  광활한 솔밭에, 파도 부서지는 살랑거림이여

느린 빛의 유희, 고독한 종,

별빛은 당신의 눈속으로 떨어지며,  장난감 인형,

땅껍질, 땅속 노래 !

In you the rivers sing and my soul flees in them

as you desire, and you send it where you will.

Aim my road on your bow of hope

and on a frenzy I will free my flock of arrows.

당신이 욕망하는대로, 당신이 내 영혼을 두려는 곳으로.

흥분상태에서 내 화살의 무리들 자유케 하리라

사방에서 나는 당신의 안개허리를 보며

당신의 침묵은 내 괴로운 시간을 추적한다

in the resonant and dying evening!

Thus in deep hours I have seen, over the fields,

the ears of wheat tolling in the mouth of the wind. 

아~당신의 신비한 목소리는 사랑을 종 울리고 낭랑하며

죽어가는 저녁속으로 점점 어두워진다

들녘너머론, 난 보았다 깊은 침잠의 시간들을,

거기엔, 소맥의 귀들이 바람의 입안에서 웅웅 거린다
